From Indecision to Tackled Adverse Events in 6 Steps

Learn about Christine's proven 6-Step TARGET Strategy about how to target adverse events effectively.

Apply these basic principles on the prescription drugs you work with and see results immediately.

When you apply the 6 TARGET Steps on an adverse event:

  • Prescription drugs will lead to less symptom burden.
  • It becomes easier for you to distinguish adverse events for instance between cytotoxic chemotherapy and targeted therapy.
  • You will be able to limit adverse events of systemic therapies.
  • The scope of the adverse events becomes more apparent to you.
  • You will be able to select appropriate management options according to the adverse event subtype.
  • You will be able to promote compliance with the needed therapy.
  • You will be able to avoid unnecessary treatment discontinuation or dose adjustments.

Six Practical Steps.

From diagnosis to management of side effects of prescription drugs

As a researcher, coach, and author I help professionals who work with prescription drugs to improve treatment skills related to adverse events with special attention to immuno-oncology & targeted therapy in cancer.

Since 2006 I teach this approach globally.

I help professionals who work with prescription drugs and their team how to apply The TARGET System in daily practice and achieve better patient outcomes.

I write articles about the different adverse event subtypes and how to approach them systematically. In August 2014 my book The TARGET System was published.

Tell me, how much is it worth to you to miss out on success from untreated adverse events?

The 6 practical steps:

#1 - TERM

This area can be filled with loads of content. Make sure you don't use too much text, keep it clean and simple! Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Assessing signs and symptoms of the adverse event and the impact of an adverse event for a particular patient is crucial to identify the intervention direction.

Reporting of characteristics of the adverse event subtype tells in detail where to look for an appropriate intervention.

#4 - GRADE

There are much better grading tools available than the CTCAE which will guide you to the best treatment option for a particular adverse event subtype.

If you are on the right path with your measures or if you are approaching the wrong target will become clear in this step.

Tackling adverse events becomes the easiest step in adverse event management, when you have applied the previous steps.
